Save Your Photos Day 2015 at MOHAI

Can you imagine losing your treasured photos? Unexpected events such as earthquakes, tornadoes, floods or fires bring with them great loss including the unexpected loss of your family's treasures like photos, videos, and documents. In the digital age that we live in, a crashed hard drive or broken smart phone can also result in an instantly disastrous loss of treasured memories.

Save Your Photos Day is an annual event with presentations and workshops providing education and tools for collecting, organizing and safeguarding photos, documents, videos and other memorabilia for current enjoyment and for future generations. Save Your Photos Day is an international event for those who appreciate that every life is a story worth preserving and sharing. 

Meaghan Kahlo, Certified Personal Photo Organizer and Personal Archivist, is partnering with MOHAI to hold a free community event on Saturday September 26, 2015 to empower individuals, family archivists and historians with the know-how to safeguard photos, documents, ephemera and memorabilia.

Attendees are encouraged to bring up to 5 photos or documents for free high-quality digital scanning during the event.

Meaghan Kahlo is a member of the Save Your Photos Alliance, a group of photo organizers, non-profits and business committed to being the premier organization for the SAFEGUARDING, RECOVERING, RESTORING, and REUNITING of photos and sentimental memorabilia before and after disasters occur.
