Save Your Photos (Month) Day 2016 Comes to An End

As September comes to a conclusion so too does the third year of the Save Your Photos effort. I hope you were able to take the pledge and receive the valuable daily tips to encourage you to take action with your precious family photos.

I enjoyed meeting and talking with some of you at either the Heron's Key Resource Fair, the ARMA Bellevue-Eastside Chapter meeting, or the Save Your Photos Day event at Mercer Island Community Center with other local area photo organizers. Thank you for coming out!

I got a little bit of interesting blog-related news. Since last year when the Save Your Photos Day website was created and fellow photo organizers began contributing to the blog, one of my posts is ranked in the top three of ALL time! Please take a few minutes and check these out!

Could Your Photos Be at Risk In Your Own Home? Save Your Photos Guest Blog

Summer is in full swing up in our mossy corner of the country and that means all the fun has to be crammed in this short window we have. Meanwhile I am also fitting in guest blog posts on preserving family photo archives where I can.

This year the Save Your Photos effort has expanded from a single day in September to a whole month-long effort. Join this international effort and take the pledge today to commit to preserving your photos! I have taken the pledge to be a guide for you and others to be the best custodian of your family archive.

Could your photos be at risk even in your own home? This month I contributed a guest blog to this very topic. Read more about it here
